Internships

Health Information Management Intern:

  • Learning Objectives: Gain hands-on experience in auditing systems, developing healthcare data procedures, and working with professionals in the field.
  • Requirements: Pursuing a degree in health information management or a related field.

Data Analyst Intern:

  • Learning Objectives: Develop analytical skills, work on real healthcare data projects, and contribute to ongoing initiatives.
  • Requirements: Background in data analysis, statistics, or a related field

Compliance Intern - Health Information Management:

  • Learning Objectives: Understand and contribute to compliance efforts in health information management, learn about regulations, and assist in auditing processes.
  • Requirements: Pursuing a degree in compliance, healthcare management, or a related field.

Program Components

In addition to the project work, the program offers a variety of structured activities to develop professional skills and gain a more comprehensive understanding of HIMLOGIC to provide a more in-depth internship experience. These activities account for about 25 hours of the internship and include:

  • Program Orientation
  • HIMLOGIC Program Seminars
  • Meeting with a HIMLOGIC Executive
  • Final Presentation
  • Mock Interviews
